In a landmark decision to facilitate the citizens, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to initiate online open courts. Following the premier’s instructions, the civic authority took initiative and held first online court on April 13, 2021 – where people could share their problems for redress.
Prime Minister Imran Khan instructed the concerned officials of Capital Development Authority (CDA) to start online court sessions on regular basis to solve the general issues in the federal capital. In the first session, citizens were asked to raise issues related to sewage system and sanitation, which will dealt with on immediate basis. It is not the first time that the civic authority has conducted such online session as previously, CDA had also initiated e-kachehri in which matters related to land directorates were addressed. The e-katchehri session was held at the CDA headquarters, Islamabad – where concerned officials were issued orders to resolve the complaints on immediate basis.
A live session was held on the CDA’s official Facebook page on Tuesday at 3pm to address the grievances of general public. Note: It was an hour long session but it is not the only session to be held. Such online sessions will be held on regular basis now, so if you could not join it this time, you can be a part of the next session.At the end of session, DG Civic Management shared his phone number to encourage people to submit their complaints regarding sewerage, waste management system and sanitation and assured to respond and address the complaints on priority basis.
The purpose of online court session is not to just stay updated with the new IT trends but to bridge the gap between civic authority and the general public. Their complaints are heard live and responded on immediate basis, which will reduce the burden of complaints being piled up in the office.
